Course outline:
This Stage 1 introductory course consists of six practical workshops where we learn how to use mixers and PA systems for live concerts, performances and club nights.
Lead instructor Irene Bjørke (together with guest intstructors) will teach us more about:
- PA system and how it works
- Mixer and mixing live
- Microphones and how they can be used
- Stage rigging and lines
- Backline
- Workflow, communication, planning and structuring of the job
- Hands-on experience and a practical approach to the job as a sound engineer. This includes working with established sound engineers as mentors at events.
Participants will also gain practical experience together with professional sound technicians at events at Bergen Kjøtt, BIT Teatergarasjen, Carte Blanche, Vill Vill Vest and other venues in the city.

Language: The course will be conducted in Norwegian. Let us know if you want to join but have limited Norwegian skills.
